Red Cross Response to Golf Course Fire

Saturday, June 30, 2018, 345 PM – the Red Cross has closed the shelter for the Golf Course Fire. Emergency information about the fire is available at 970-725-1300. Smoke from the fire is still visible as is smoke from the Sugar Loaf fire. Please use caution in smoke filled areas.

Friday, June 29, 2018, 11 AM – The American Red Cross has opened a shelter in Grand Lake, Colorado to support evacuations caused by the Golf Course Fire. Overnight 31 people stayed at the shelter located at the the Grand Lake Center, 301 Marina Dr., Grand Lake, CO. Emergency information for the Golf Course Fire is available at 970-725-1300.

Evacuation orders remain in effect for the Golf Course Fire and people should be aware that fire behavior can be unpredictable. Red Cross urges you to have an evacuation plan set up that will allow you, your family and your pets to evacuate quickly and to take the items you need the most.
