Christina True, an American Red Cross volunteer and nurse, exemplifies what it means to be a hero for her family, town and other communities across the world that experience disasters. Christina works at a local hospital while also volunteering with her local red cross chapter and homeschooling her younger children.
Christina inspires her children to also serve their communities in all kinds of ways leading to them becoming wildland firefighters, EMTs, doctors and nurses like herself. With the Red Cross, she has given her time, skills and devotion to assisting in disaster responses abroad when communities are devastated by hurricanes, and other natural disasters. She is a true role model for her children and gives everything to those in need, making her a hero.
