Stephanie Hanenberg dedicated her life to help underserved populations gain access to essential services. Now, Stephanie gives her time to the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs community as the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Health and Wellness to bring a variety of programs and services addressing physical and mental health of staff and students. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she has worked tirelessly to design and implement measures to protect the UCCS community. She has been compared to Clara Barton, the founder of the American Red Cross by those close to her. Stephanie demonstrates a willingness to give her time, energy, and skills to lift others up, making her a true hero.
