UPDATE: Thursday, August 16, 2018, 2 PM – The Red Cross shelter in Kremmling has been placed in standby status. Signs are posted on the West Grand Middle School providing a phone number to call should there be a need for overnight sheltering. Red Cross volunteers are also on standby to provide comfort and care if there is a need for overnight sheltering.

UPDATE: Thursday, August 16, 2018, Noon – The Red Cross shelter remains open at the West Grand Middle School in Kremmling, CO to support people evacuated for the Silver Creek Fire. It was estimated that nearly 200 homes were affected by the evacuation order.
Overnight only 1 person stayed at the evacuation shelter.
Meetings were scheduled for this afternoon to determine of the need for the shelter continues. That decision will be based on fire movement and on the number of people requesting shelter support.

Denver, Wednesday, August 15, 2018, 7 PM – The Red Cross has opened an evacuation center to support people evacuated due to the Silver Creek Fire.
The evacuation center is located at:
West Grand Middle School – 715 Kinsey Ave, Kremmling, CO 80459
Red Cross volunteers are on scene and will provide comfort and care to people forced from their homes.
