Evacuation Center Put in Standby Status
Denver, Tuesday, October 13, 2019 – The American Red Cross will place the two evacuation centers for the Decker Fire on standby status beginning at noon today. If you have been affected by the Decker Fire and are in need of Red Cross support you can call our 24-hour response number, (800) 417-0495.
Fire activity continues to be a concern in Fremont and Chaffee Counties. Red Cross will continue to have resources in place that can be activated if needed.
Denver, Sunday, October 13, 2019, 3:30 p.m. – The American Red Cross has opened evacuation centers in Salida, CO and Canon City, CO at the request of Fremont County Emergency Management.

Canon City Evacuation Center
First United Methodist Church, 801 Main Street, Canon City
These shelters were open at the request of Fremont County Emergency Management as the Decker Fire again threatens the communities of Wellsville and Swissvale.
