Help Honor Our Volunteer Heroes

Heroes may not wear a cape, they wear a Red Cross vest.

During March — celebrated nationally as Red Cross Month — we honor our volunteer heroes in Colorado and Wyoming who prevent and ease people’s suffering every day. Last year, 2,759 Colorado and Wyoming Red Cross volunteers provided critical aid every day.

Our volunteers are among those who represent more than 90 percent of the Red Cross workforce. We are truly grateful for their dedication — without them, our mission wouldn’t be possible. Just in the past year volunteers responded to 441 house fires in our community after lives were upended by home fires — the nation’s most frequent disaster.

As we recognize our volunteer heroes, please join them to #help1family this March. Donate on March 25 at redcross.org/givingday to provide hope and urgent relief like food, shelter and other essentials for a family who loses nearly everything to a disaster. Your donations are key to saving lives because they fund nearly 100 percent of Red Cross disaster relief activities

On behalf of those we serve, thank you again to our volunteer heroes who fulfill our lifesaving work each and every day. We are so proud and grateful for all that you do.
