Nolan Wessell, Welcome to the Mile High Chapter Board!
Nolan M. Wessell, MD, FAAOS – Orthopedist, University of Colorado School of Medicine, Aurora
Nolan Wessell grew up in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and enjoyed playing hockey and golf and partaking in the lake life that is well known in this area of the U.S. After graduating as valedictorian, he attended the University of Wisconsin where he studied biochemistry and graduated with  honors.
He then earned his medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and stayed in Detroit to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Henry Ford Health System where he served as the administrative chief resident. After completing his residency, Nolan moved to Denver to complete a fellowship in adult orthopedic spine surgery and then joined the faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He has been a member of the medical school faculty for the past six years.
Nolan serves on various committees, including the faculty engagement and well-being committee for UCHealth, and serves as an executive board member for the Colorado Orthopedic Society.
Outside of work, Nolan and his wife, Kristin, enjoy the role of being parents to two young children and spending time together as a family. He continues to play golf and hockey, though not as much as he would like. He is also an avid hunter and fisherman.
