This shelter was opened for the residents of the Regency Apartments who were evacuated due to an apartment fire that occurred on May 24, 2019.

More than 100 residents were forced to evacuate due to the fire and have been told they could not return until August. The Red Cross, with the help of several community partners, kept the shelter open to provide support for residents that could not find other accommodations.

Red Cross case workers have met with residents to help them determine next steps for their recovery and will continue to work with the residents as needed.
