The American Red Cross of Colorado is providing shelter due to mudslide in Glenwood Canyon
July 30, 2021; 3:00 pm – The evacuation center is now closed
July 30, 2021; 12:00 pm –The American Red Cross of Western Colorado has opened a shelter to provide support and relief for individuals impacted by a mudslide that occurred on I-70 in Glenwood Canyon last night. Significant rainfall over the Grizzly Creek Fire burn scar area caused the mudslide, closing I-70 and stranding travelers. Volunteers have been on standby since 12:00 this morning and are ready to accommodate those affected, providing shelter, information and other assistance.
The shelter is located at Glenwood Springs Community Center: 100 Wulfsohn Rd, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601.
