Angels of America’s Fallen: Empowering the Future, Honoring the Fallen

Angels of America’s Fallen, a nationwide 501(c)(3) organization stands as a beacon of support for the children of our fallen military, police, fire and EMS heroes. Going beyond financial assistance, this remarkable organization is committed to empowering these children through long-term engagement in positive activities. By fostering an environment of support, mentorship and encouragement, Angels of America’s Fallen plays a crucial role in helping these young individuals build their own identities, boost self-confidence and shape their narratives of success.

One of the unique aspects of Angels of America’s Fallen is its dedication to providing ongoing support to children until they reach 19 years old. Unlike other organizations that may offer one-time assistance, they ensure a sustained commitment allowing the children to engage in various positive activities throughout their entire childhood. These activities span a wide range including sports, music and other arts.

Angels of America’s Fallen recognizes the importance of mentorship, especially in the absence of their fallen heroes. By connecting these children with coaches or instructors who serve not only as guides in their chosen activities but also as positive mentors, they address a critical gap in their support system. This approach aims to fill the void left by the loss of a parent, fostering personal growth and resilience in the face of adversity.

The organization also encourages children to explore diverse activities and discover their passions at various stages of development. This flexibility allows them to change activities as their interests evolve, empowering them to shape their own personal identity.

The Voices program offered by Angels of America’s Fallen provides children and surviving spouses with a platform to share their stories. By attending conferences, fundraising events and performances across the country, participants not only raise awareness about the challenges faced by families who have lost a parent in service but also find healing through helping others. This initiative acknowledges the therapeutic power of sharing experiences and connects families who understand the unique struggles they face.

The Peer Support Program understands the importance of shared experiences in the healing process. Remaining spouses are given a platform to support each other as they navigate life after the traumatic loss of their spouse. Through relationships built on trust and understanding, peers offer invaluable support to those in need, helping them redefine family life and find solace in shared circumstances.

Angels of America’s Fallen stands as a testament to the power of long-term commitment and support in the lives of children who have lost a parent in service to our country.  By focusing on positive activities, mentorship, and community engagement, the organization empowers these young individuals to overcome challenges, explore their passions and celebrate their unique successes.
