Tiffany Circle Service: Inaugural Armed Forces Baby Shower

Story and photos by Sophi Conti/American Red Cross

The Tiffany Circle Society of Women Leaders hosted the inaugural Service to the Armed Forces Baby Shower at the new Denver Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital on Saturday, August 17th.

Tiffany Circle members pose with backpacks full of baby shower items.

Did you know that 175 babies are born in the Colorado VA system annually? To lighten the emotional burden, and to pay respect to the men and women serving in our name, Tiffany Circle members prepared and assembled 30 diaper bags. Expectant women veterans were gifted these diaper bags full of needed baby essentials, information about Red Cross services and personalized notes of gratitude and support.

The Tiffany Circle is a community of women leaders who advance the American Red Cross mission through a focused investment of time, talent and treasure by engaging women locally, nationally and internationally.  Women leading through philanthropy.

“This baby shower is a wonderful example of our community coming together to support veterans with any need.” Dan Warvi, Chief of Voluntary Service, VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare. The Denver VA hospital provides health care services to veterans up and down the front range of Colorado. Learn more about the VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare at https://www.denver.va.gov/.
