Red Cross Responds to Apartment Fire in Lakewood

The American Red Cross of the Mile High is responding to a Multi-Family Fire at the Tiffany Square Apartments in Lakewood, Colorado. Red Cross volunteers responded alongside West Metro Fire Rescue in the early hours of the morning. We have opened an evacuation center 7815 W. 16th Ave. Lakewood, CO 80214. Anyone impacted can visit the evacuation center, our volunteers are standing by to provide comfort and care to all those impacted. We’re providing warm meals and a safe place to stay as we begin the process of recovering from this disaster.

We are supporting approximately 96 people from all 32 units. The Red Cross disaster assistance team has been activated. Disaster health and mental health volunteers are on the scene providing assistance to those impacted. Red Cross will support our government partners in conducting a damage assessment and assessing the need to provide individual disaster assistance and feeding services. Our caseworkers are getting to work assessing the needs of all those impacted.
