Red Cross Honors Western Slope Locals

Coloradoans Trained in CPR Received the American Red Cross Youth Hero of the Year Award.

Terran Guccini and Lewis Baker used their CPR training to save the life of a man who collapsed suddenly and went into cardiac arrest.

 

For their heroic and lifesaving actions, Terran Guccini and Lewis Baker will receive the 2022 Life Saving Heroes of the Year Award at the American Red Cross of Colorado and Wyoming Rocky Mountain Heroes Soirée.

 

Terran and Lewis were attending a motorcycle race when one of the participants suddenly collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. Lewis and Terran performed CPR on the individual until the ambulance and medical staff arrived. Thanks to their quick response and CPR training, the individual was taken to the hospital and survived.

The Rocky Mountain Heroes Soirée celebrates the Red Cross spirit as exemplified in lifesaving heroes in Colorado and Wyoming.
